Cliff’s journey in woodworking began when he was a young boy. He wanted a giant 6ft lizard for a pet, and wanted to keep it in his room. In order to make this happen, Cliff needed to build a giant cage. With coaching from his dad, Cliff was able to complete the project and properly house his giant lizard.

Cliff’s Journey

The journey continued as Cliff got older. More exotic pets meant more giant wooden cages. Eventually, Cliff started building and selling custom reptile cages-the largest being over 20 feet long. Reptile cages transitioned into chicken coops, raised garden beds and redwood outdoor furniture.

For the last 20 years, his woodworking was just a hobby. It was an avenue for Cliff to express his creativity and make a little extra money to fund his collection of woodworking tools. It was always Cliff’s dream to retire one day and spend the rest of his years working in the wood shop. In 2022, way ahead of schedule, Cliff took a leap of faith and retired from his 20 year career in the automotive industry to work full time in his woodshop. Now, as a dedicated father, he plans to pass these skills down to his son and share his journey along the way.
