Along the coast of Northern California in the small town of Half Moon Bay, young Dylan, age eight, found an old weathered fence board in his backyard. Driven by a spark of creativity, he transformed it into a charming birdhouse that he hoped one day would house a small growing family of birds. When asked what he wanted to do with the birdhouse, Dylan replied, “ I want to sell it!” Encouraged by his Dad, Dylan decided to list it for sale online.

To everyones surprise, the response was overwhelming. The birdhouse sold immediately and orders started flooding in from neighbors and beyond. Everyone was captivated by Dylan and his simple yet heartfelt creations. What began as a simple act of ingenuity soon blossomed into a full blown birdhouse production. As Dylan began to meet more and more customers, he sold more and more birdhouses. This led to countless hours spent in the woodshop.

It was during this time that Father & Son Woodshop was formed. Dylan’s role in the woodshop has taught him critical lessons about business, but most importantly it has fostered a father and son relationship that is priceless.
